Subject: SFI Young Investigator

You very kindly assisted Science Foundation Ireland with its review process in the past for which we are very grateful. I am writing to you now to let you know that SFI has recently launched a new award which might be of interest to early-career track researchers in your institution.
This recently launched SFI Young Investigator programme is aimed at exceptional young scientists who have attained their Ph.D. within the last five years. Funding will support them to start up their own independent research programme in an Irish research institution. These Five year awards will provide funding of up to ˆ400,000 for the 1st year and ˆ200,000 for years 2 – 5.
Further information can be found at http://www.sfi.ie/content/content.asp?section_id=418&language_id=1
Best wishes,
Niamh O’Dowd
