detectors in the mid-infrared spectral range based on nanostructures. The 
work is part of a larger project comprising different fields such as: (i) 
nanofabrication by a combination of self-organization processes with 
lithography (ii) analysis methods with high spatial resolution (STM, AFM, x-
ray diffraction, TEM, optical spectroscopy) (iii) time-resolved IR and THz 
spectroscopy (iv) development and fabrication of efficient nanostructure IR
