The 9th International Conference on Intersubband Transitions in Quantum
Wells, Ambleside, U.K., 9-14th September 2007

http://itqw07.leeds.ac.uk <http://itqw07.leeds.ac.uk/> Abstract
deadline 15th March 2007.

The 9th International Conference on Intersubband Transitions in Quantum
Wells (ITQW07) will be the key event in 2007 in the area of intersubband
phenomena in quantum wells and quantum dots. It will bring together
researchers from academia, government and industrial laboratories, who
are in the forefront of research, for scientific interaction,
presentation of cutting-edge research, highlighting recent scientific
results and technological challenges, as well as debate on future
trends. ITQW is a workshop style meeting with a mixture of oral
presentations and poster sessions, with plenty of opportunity to mix and
network outside of the lecture theatre, with planned free time and
social events.

The scientific topics include: Physics and Fundamental Properties, Novel
materials, Mid-infrared and THz detectors, Mid-infrared and THz sources,
Applications.

The conference series has a history dating back to 1991 with the first
meeting in Cargese, France, followed by meetings in Whistler, Canada
(1993), Ginosar, Israel (1995), Tainan, Taiwan (1997), Bad Ischl,
Austria (1999), Monterey, USA (2001), Evolene, Switzerland (2003) and
Cape Cod, USA (2005), and has experienced an ever increasing success.
This year the conference will take place in Ambleside, at the north tip
of Lake Windermere in the beautiful Lake District, the northwest of
England.
