Postovane kolege,
Radovi iz specijalnog broja Advances in Space Research- ASR: Line Shapes
in Astrophysics
su besplatno dostupni do 15. oktobra na sajtu

Srdacan pozdrav,
Luka
Dear colleagues,
In the series of Special Issues that Advances in Space Research- ASR
(http://www.journals.elsevier.com/advances-in-space-research/)
traditionally
publishes, the journal is very pleased to announce its most recent Special
Issue on Line
Shapes in Astrophysics (see
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/02731177/54/7).
This issue reviews the present stage of spectral line shapes
investigations with the aim
to improve our knowledge in this field and to better understand the
significance of
emission/absorption lines for future astrophysical investigations. The
papers are divided
into three sections:
1. Laboratory astrophysics - Spectral lines and atomic processes;
2. Spectral lines in solar and stellar spectra; and
3. Extragalactic astrophysics and spectral lines.
Within these sections a wide range of spectral line investigations of
spectral line shapes
is covered, from the laboratory plasma to the plasma in the central part
of quasars. While
some papers concentrate on a particular investigation, there are also
several review
papers. It is hoped that this special issue will be useful, not only to
specialists who
are working in the field, but also for the entire astrophysics community.
Access this special issue freely until October 15th.
We are very excited to announce this Special Issue and we sincerely thank
the authors of
the papers appearing in this issue for their special effort in producing
these
comprehensive and timely papers.
Sincerely yours,
Luka Č. Popović
