Profesor Čeda Petrović iz BNL SAD će pored predavanja u SANU, sreda 
29.06.2016 u 12 sati održati i seminar u četvrtak 30, juna u Institutu 
za fiziku, sa početkom u 13.00 časova u čitaonici IF. Tema i sadržaj 
predavanja su:

Superconductivity in Quasi-2D Charge Density Wave Conductors

Superconductivity and charge-density-wave (CDW) are traditionally viewed 
as Fermi surface instabilities due to electron-phonon coupling whereas 
arguments have been made both for their cooperation and competition. In 
copper oxides dome of high superconducting Tc exists at a rather complex 
phase diagram where disorder, magnetic and charge or charge density wave 
fluctuations are present. In this talk I will discuss characteristics of 
ZrTe3 and 2H-TaSe2 that feature charge density wave with superconducting 
domes in the absence of magnetism, albeit in the background of disorder 
and heavy-fermion-like electronic transport. For the first time in any 
CDW superconductor we present a double dome of superconductivity at the 
phase diagram. The results suggest high sensitivity of CDW to electronic 
anisotropy and disorder.
