Drage kolege,

u pripremi je tematski broj časopisa Surface and Coatings Technology, na
temu "NANOPOROUS MATERIALS, SURFACES AND COATINGS FOR
> GREEN ENERGY CONVERSION AND STORAGE". Uputstva autorima su u poruci
> dobijenoj ljubaznošću editora tog broja.

> We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in
> a Special Issue on "NANOPOROUS MATERIALS, SURFACES AND COATINGS FOR
> GREEN ENERGY CONVERSION AND STORAGE", to be published in _Surface and
> Coatings Technology_.
>
> The aim of this special issue is to address topics and challenges
> regarding the implementation of _nanoporous materials for energy
> conversion and storage _purposes combined with a minimal carbon
> footprint for the environment. This issue focuses mainly on the
> emerging role of such materials towards (a) _conversion of energy into
> different forms using currently available "green" technologies_,
> including solar cells and fuel cells, (b) _storage of highly
> energy-dense and environmental friendly gases_, such as hydrogen and
> methane, as well as (c) _electrochemical energy storage using
> batteries, supercapacitors and hybrid technologies_. Attention is
> given to the influence of nanoscaled porosity (e.g. specific area and
> pore volume, pore size distribution) and surface chemistry properties
> (e.g. functional groups and dopants) of different types of materials
> (e.g. activated carbons, metal-organic frameworks, polymers of
> intrinsic microporosity and novel composites), produced in various
> forms (e.g. powders, monoliths, cloths, membranes, thin films and
> coatings), on the overall performance towards such energy-related
> applications. Other topics showing a significant environmental
> importance are presented as well, including the key role of nanoporous
> materials in CO2 capture and conversion into energy-rich fuels,
> wastewater treatment and capacitive desalination. For all topics both
> _experimental and theoretical aspects_ are covered by experts in the
> field.
>
> SUBMISSION FORMAT AND GUIDELINES
>
> This Special Issue solicits original work that must not be under
> consideration for publication in any other journal. WE WILL BE
> ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FROM AUGUST 31ST 2017 UNTIL FEBRUARY 28TH 2018.
> Authors must follow _Surface and Coatings Technology_'s __Guide for
> Authors for formatting requirements
> (https://www.elsevier.com/journals/surface-and-coatings-technology/0257-8972/guide-for-authors
> [1]). To submit a paper, the author(s) must select "VSI: POROUS
> SURFACES & ENERGY" when they reach the "Article Type" step in the
> submission process. (The submission system can be accessed directly
> from the journal homepage at https://ees.elsevier.com/surfcoat/ [2],
> on the left-hand sidebar "submit your paper").
>
> Each paper will be reviewed by the editors and papers that meet the
> journal's requirements will be sent for anonymous peer review. Please
> note that being invited to submit to a special issue does not
> guarantee publication.
>
> WE ARE VERY MUCH LOOKING FORWARD TO RECEIVING YOUR CONTRIBUTION.
> THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION AND BEST REGARDS,
