Applications are invited for Postdoc Position in the Group of Theoretical Solid State and Statistical Physics.
The position is linked to the Research Program on Theory of Solid State
and Statistical Physics in the Department of Theoretical Physics at
Jozef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana. The group has the expertise in
statistical physics of complex systems and network applications (B.
Tadic), theory of ferroelectrics and phase transitions (R. Pirc),
electron dynamics and the interaction effects in quantum transport
through nanoscale systems (A. Ramsak, T. Rejec), the theory of
equilibrium and nonequilibrium properties of strongly correlated
electrons, related to novel materials (P. Prelovsek, J. Bonca), in
connection with the development as well as application of advanced
computational methods.
The position is for one year, with a possibility of an extension into
the second year provided the unchanged financial framework. The postdoc
will be employed including all social benefits. The gross salary is
expected to from cca. 2100 EU/ month to 2400 EU/month depending on
research experience. There is also the possibility of travel support and
the contribution to apartment costs. The position is expected to filled
as soon as possible, starting October 2010.
