Abstract 

In this talk I will briefly survey the facilities at the James Watt
Nanofabrication Centre and Nanophotonic devices fabricated there. Also
covered is a more in-depth look at a metamaterial structure - asymmetric
split ring resonators, their interaction with the polymer PMMA and the
resulting Fano resonance.
