Dear colleagues,

You are kindly invited to the next CSSPNM seminar, which will be held on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, at 11:00, in the "Dragan Popović" Hall.

We are pleased to welcome Dr Josip Jakovac from the Institute of Physics, Zagreb, Croatia, who will give a seminar entitled:

Electron-plasmon Scattering in Doped Graphene

Abstract

Graphene exhibits remarkable electronic properties, with electron-plasmon interactions playing an important role in the behaviour of charge carriers. In this seminar, Dr Jakovac will present ab initio simulations of photoemission spectra in electrostatically and chemically doped graphene using a recently developed many-body RPA-G₀W₀ approach. The results provide new insight into the decay mechanisms of photo-excited holes, the formation of plasmonic satellites and Dirac plasmarons, and their agreement with recent ARPES experiments. The simulations also reveal signatures of Fermi liquid behaviour in highly doped graphene, offering a comprehensive theoretical description of electron-plasmon scattering in this important two-dimensional material.

We look forward to seeing you at the seminar.

Kind Regards,
