A sneak peek into Optics & Photonics - From origins to modern days

will be given by Patrick Hendra and Josué León (Quantum-Enhanced Imaging Group, Emerging Technologies Department, Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering IOF, Germany).

This presentation delves into the history and evolution of Optics and Photonics, from early discoveries to groundbreaking modern applications. Whether you're a Bachelor or master student, come and illuminate your understanding of the integral role optics and photonics play in our rapidly advancing world!

We believe that this seminar will be of great interest for the Bachelor, Master, so as PhD students, but also for all of our colleagues who wants to gain an insight into the nonlinear quantum light sources and their rolls in the state of the art quantum sensors. After the seminar, a round table discussion on the topics related to the BioQantSense project and perspective applications of the entangled light sources will be organized.
