Diploma in Physics, at Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, University of Belgrade in 1978, I was employed at the Institute of Physics, Laboratory for Atomic Collision Processes. As a student I was also involved in development of a device: UV-fluorescence detector of SO2 in the air, as well as devices for generation and detection of ions in the air. I have finished compulsory Masters Thesis in 1984 under mentorship by Prof. Leposava Vuskovic and Ph.D. Thesis in 1988 under mentorship by Prof. Milan Kurepa. I have shortly (couple of weeks) visited laboratories in Gdansk, Poland (Prof. Cz. Smytkowski) in 1987, and in Newcastle, England (Prof. A.Crowe) in 1997. In 2001 I have spent 6 months at the University of Antiohia, Medellin, Columbia as a visiting professor. I am founder of the Laboratory for Molecular Physics at the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade, in 1992. I have introduced more than 12, mostly original, student's exercises. On Feb. 2004 I have founded a Laboratory of Compendium of Experimental Quantum Physics at the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade. With the aim to complete my work in the field of atomic and molecular physics education, I wrote two books about atomic physics, and also molecular physics experiments (both of them are the first such books at the Faculty of Physics, Belgrade). To assign a century of discovery of the electron, together with Prof. Milan Kurepa, I am the author of the monograph: "The electron as we know it" (1997). Also, I wrote books: Problems and Solutions in Molecular Physics (1998) and Research Exercises in Atomic and Molecular Physics (1998). RESEARCH INTERESTS: Absolute cross sections for electron - atom collisions. Low and intermediate energy electron scattering by atomic species has been in focus of my scientific interest since 1978. Determination of absolute differential cross sections (DCS) is a challenging task from both experimental and theoretical point of view. Several normalization procedures have been developed to overcome the difficulty arising in crossed electron-beam / atom-beam experiments to accurate determination of beam densities necessary for absolute cross sections. Beside inert gas atoms and small molecules in gaseous phase, special interest is devoted to metal beam atom production and cross section measurements. From DCS one can obtain momentum transfer CS and viscosity CS needed for plasma modeling. Special attention is paid for accurate determination of position of DCS critical points, i.e. position of energy and scattering angle where DCS attains its smallest value. Spin stabilized magnetic levitationSpin stabilized magnetic levitation of a magnetic top is a macroscopic analog of magnetic traps used to confine particles with a quantum magnetic moment. The parameter space for successful levitation is quite small, but I realized the equipment very suitable for demonstration of magnetic traps. Also Born-Oppenheimer approximation from molecular physics is perfectly clear after this demonstration. Because of my deep interest to support activities of Nikola Tesla museum, Belgrade (I am a member of the Tesla's Committee for Physics), I realized Tesla's egg of Columbus, but in an interesting way. Tesla performed the feat of Columbus without cracking the egg, using rotating magnetic field. In my experiment the famous Tesla's egg of Columbus levitates against Earth gravitational attraction.
