Abstract

We describe a canonical formulation of the Poincare BFCG theory, which 
is based on a simplified Dirac procedure.
The canonical quantization of this theory is then performed by using 
the equivalence to the Poincare BF theory.
Implications for canonical quantization of General Relativity are 
discussed.
