Subject: Grants
Dear colleagues,
On September 6-11, 2004, we are organising in Vilnius (Lithuania)
the 12th International Conference on the Physics of Highly Charged
Ions (Europhysics Conference). It covers fairly broad areas of
modern experimental and theoretical physics, important from the
both fundamental and applied points of views, namely:
Fundamental Aspects, Structure and Spectroscopy;
Collisions with Electrons, Ions, Atoms and Molecules;
Interaction with Clasters, Surfaces and Solids;
Interaction with Photons, Plasmas and Related Processes in Strong
Fields;
Ion Sources, Traps and Storage Rings;
Production, Experimental Methods and Applications.
Brilliant speakers are coming to present Invited Lectures and
Progress Reports.
We are encouraging You and Your colleagues to participate in this
important and interesting conference. The Local Organising
Committee has some possibilities to support at least one participant
from each country.
There are more possibilities to support young researchers. Young
researchers (up to 40 years) can make use of the grants of the
European Physical Society (EPS) East West Task Force (EWTF).
This support may be up to 450 EUR, thus in many cases covering
accomodation, conference fee and even travel expenses.
For obtaining this support You must have the recommendation of
Your National Physical Society and to have the accepted
contribution. The deadline to present one page Abstract is June 15
(in exceptional cases a few days later).
The more information on this Conference You may found visiting its
website http://www.itpa.lt/hci2004 or sending the e-mail to
hci2004 at itpa.lt, whereas such an information on abovementioned
grants may be found visiting http://www.fzu.cz/varia/ewtf/hma.html.
You can also contact the chair of EWTF Professor Jaroslav
Nadrchal nadrchal at fzu.cz.
We do ask You to encourage up to three young researchers to
make use of this possibility and to apply for this grant for the
participation in this conference.
Chair of the International Advisory Board and
of the Local Organising Committee of the HCI2004
Professor Zenonas Rokus
