Subject: TPS IV. International Conference and Festival of Physics Students
Dear Colleague
Secretary General of Physical Society of Serbia and Montenegro
UNESCO as we all know has declared 2005 as The World Year Of
Physics - WYP. In
general science and specifically physics could only make great progress as a
result of such encouraging decisions. As a part of the European Physical
Society -EPS, the Turkish Physical Society -TPS with all the members meets
this
decision with a great understanding and pleasure. In order to reach specific
goals, we plan to organize various activities. One of them which already
being
organized is TPS- IV. International Conference and Festival of Physics
Students
(TPS-IV th ICOFEPS). This activity is being organized by the TPS- Izmir
Branch
and be held between 31 August- 3 September at Dokuz Eylül University in
Izmir,
Turkey. The activity will also be including some games and competitions to
make
the meeting even more enjoyable for all the participants.
The TPS-IV th ICOFEPS is open to only undergraduate as well as
master of
science (MSc) students from all over Europe.
At this point, we kindly ask you to inform all universities and
institutions
relating physics departments in SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO about the IV. ICOFEPS.
We
plan, if possible, to host 3 to 5 students from each European country to make
the meeting truly rich and beneficial. The local expenses of the participants
including accommodation catering and travel will be supported by the
organizing
committee.
The web site (http://icofeps.tfdizmir.org.tr) concerning this activity is now
published in world wide web to get more details and for the application.
