Postovane kolege fizicari,

Imam zadovoljstvo da vam posaljem dokument "Resolution and Recommendation"
i propratno pismo Prof. Max Lippitsch-a. Rezoluciju je sastavio  The Graz
Forum on Physics and Society, koji je odrzan od 19 do 22 aprila 2006 u Grazu.
Drustvo fizicara Srbije i Crne Gore je imalo predstavnika u radu ovoga
Foruma.

Forum je odrzan istovremeno sa Ministarskim sastankom EU o kompetitivnosti.
Rezolucija je urucena austrijskom ministru, koji je u ovome periodu
predsedavajuci Evropske unije za kompetitivnost.

Teme Foruma su bile:

1) Uloga fizike u drustvu, kulturi i naukama

2) Znacaj fizike za kompetitivnost u tehnoloski zasnovnoj svetskoj ekonomiji

3) Potrebe u istrazivackoj politici i finansiranju

4) Standardi i kontrola kvaliteta u obrazovanju iz fizike i uporedivost
medjunarodnih programa fizike, na svim nivoima obrazovanja

5) Eticka pitanja u fizici

Molim vas da se upoznate sa ovim sadrzajnim i korisnim dokumentom. Zelim i
nadam se da ce fizicari u Srbiji i Crnoj Gori iskoristiti  ovaj dokument u
komunikacijama sa politicarima i javnoscu.

Dear colleagues,

In the attachment you may find the final text of the "Resolution and
Recommendations" of the Forum. Only very few minor changes have been made
for reasons of language. The text is also availabel on the website
www.wyp2005.at . Here you can find also the presentations given during the
Graz forum. I hope that the resolution will be widely used to convey the
ideas of the physics community to politicians and the public.

I also would like to draw your attention to hte fact that the international
Physics Talent Search will be continued. Information will be available soon
on our website. All countries are kindly invited to participate.

Thanks again for your participation in the Graz Forum and your valuable
work done there.
