FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
----------------------------------------------------------
The XVth National Conference of Astronomers of Serbia will take place in
Belgrade from 2-5  October 2008. Conference sessions will include: invited
talks presented by domestic and international lecturers, presentations of
PhD and master theses that have been completed within Serbia or abroad
since the last conference (2005), contributed talks and posters.
Contributions presented at the Conference will cover all branches of
astronomy and topics related to astronomy and similar fields including:
1. Astrophysical spectroscopy
2. Stellar physics and physics of interstellar medium
3. Stellar and galactic systems
4. Astrometry, dynamical astronomy and planetology
5. Extragalactic astronomy and cosmology
6. Interdisciplinary studies (astrobiology, astrochemistry, geophysics,
atmospheric physics, astronautics and space science)
7. History, philosophy and teaching of astronomy
8. Amateur astronomy, sociology of astronomy, astronomy in arts and
culture

Session 8 will be partly dedicated to the preliminary activities and
organization of IYA2009.
A preliminary scientific programme will be given in the Second
Announcement.
The meeting of the Society of Astronomers of Serbia (SAS) is scheduled for
the final day of the conference, when the report on activity of the SAS
will be presented. Members of the new Administrative Committee, Control
Council, and National Committee will be elected. Organization and
activities related to IYA2009 will also be discussed.

An abstract book will be published before the Conference and proceedings
volume shortly after the end of the Conference. Information concerning the
text formats and styles (for abstracts and papers) are provided on the
official Conference website

The official languages of the Conference are Serbian and English. There is
no registration fee for the conference.

PRVO OBAVESTENJE

XV nacionalna konferencija astronoma Srbije odrzace se u Beogradu, 2-5.
oktobra 2008. godine. Konferencija ce se sastojati od predavanja po pozivu
domacih i stranih naucnika, izlaganja doktorskih i magistarskih teza
odbranjenih u zemlji ili inostranstvu u periodu izmedju dve konferencije
(od 2005), kracih saopstenja i postera. Na Konferenciji ce biti prikazani
radovi iz svih oblasti astronomije, kao i tema vezanih za astronomiju i
druge srodne nauke:
1. Spektroskopija astrofizicke plazme
2. Fizika zvezda i medjuzvezdane materije
3. Zvezdani i galakticki sistemi
4. Astrometrija, dinamicka astronomija i planetologija
5. Vangalakticka astronomija i kosmologija
6. Interdisciplinarne studije (astrobiologija, astrohemija, geofizika,
atmosferska fizika, astronautika i kosmicka istrazivanja)
7. Istorija, filozofija i nastava astronomije
8. Amaterska astronomija, sociologija astronomije, astronomija u umetnosti
i kulturi

Sekcija 8 ce delom biti posvecena pripremama i organizaciji MGA2009.
Preliminarni program Konferencije bice objavljen po prijemu prijava u
drugom obavestenju.
Skupstina Drustva astronoma Srbije bice odrzana poslednjeg dana
Konferencije kada ce biti podnet izvestaj o radu i izabran novi Upravni
odbor, Nadzorni odbor i Nacionalni komitet. Jedna od tema Skupstine bice i
dogovor oko aktivnosti vezanih za obelezavanje MGA.

Knjiga apstrakata ce biti stampana pre, a Zbornik radova neposredno posle
Konferencije. Nacin pripreme tekstova (apstrakata i clanaka) se moze naci
na zvanicnoj internet prezentaciji Konferencije

Zvanicni jezici Konferencije su srpski i engleski. Ucesnici Konferencije
ne placaju kotizaciju.
