ISCBPU - 6, The Sixth International Student Conference of the Balkan
Physical Union jointly organized by  Balkan Physical Union, Turkish
Physical Society, and supported by Bodrum District Authority,  Turkish
Atomic Energy Authority, Bodrum Municipality, Mugla university, Yildiz
Technical University, Abant Izzet Baysal University, Aksaray
university, Rize University, Erzincan University, Harran University
and Süleyman Demirel University .organized by BPU, Turkish Physical
Society, Yildiz Technical University,
Istanbul University and Mugla University will be held in Bodrum,
Turkey on 21-24 August 2008.

The chairman of the scientific  committee is Professor Nikolai Tonchev,
the chairman of the advisorycommittee is Professor Angelos
Angelopoulos, president of Hellenical Physical
Society and the chairwoman of the organizing committee is Res. Assist.
R.Burcu Cakirli from University of Istanbul.

Previous student conferences of BPU have been held in 1994 in Izmir,
Turkey, in 1996 in Bansko, Bulgaria, in 1997 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania,
and in both 2006 and 2007 in Bodrum, Turkey.

ISCBPU - 6, The Sixth International Student Conference of the Balkan
Physical Union  is open to all physics undergraduate and graduate
students from the Balkans, Europe and other countries. The purpose of
the conference is to promote friendship and to create a scientific
atmosphere. Numerous expert invited scientists from various countries
will convey the most recent developments in all disciplines of Physics
at a level which will be accesible to all students. The student
participants will be able to present results of original research as
well as contributions to promote understanding of established results.
Contributed talks and poster presentations are both welcome.

PEP - Physics, Education, Philosophy and Art
QUP - Quantum Physics
HIP -   History of Physics and Inventions in Physics
APE - Applied Physics and Earthquake Physics
APC - Astrophysics and Cosmology
NER - Energy, Nuclear and Renewable
NUP - Nuclear and Particle Physics
SON - Solid State Physics and Nanotechnology

The purpose of the conference is to encourage and initiate students
into research and to supply them with practical experience in
preparing and giving presentations.

Abstract submission deadline is on Friday evening, June 6, 2008.
Registration deadline is on Friday evening, July 11, 2008

The language of the conference is English.

Please forward this announcement to undergraduate and graduate
students in Physics and especially encourage them to attend the
conference with an oral or a poster presentation.
