Dear Colleagues,
 
We would like to invite you to attend the second International Conference on 
Physics of Optical Materials and Devices - ICOM2009 (www.icomonline.org) 
which will be held in August 27󈞊, 2009 in Hotel Plaža, Herceg Novi, 
Montenegro. The Conference will offer a great forum to exchange new 
knowledge and ideas among participants from all around the world.

ICOM2009 is organized in a workshop style, composed of several plenary 
sessions having as main topics: materials synthesis and characterization, 
mechanisms and control of the luminescence, theory and modeling, new 
concepts and applications with the emphasis on biophotonics and 
photovoltaics. In addition a Workshop on low dimensional structures and 
materials will be held as a satellite meeting focusing on the materials and 
phenomena in restricted geometries.  

The Organizing Committee focuses on creating an integrated conference to 
facilitate and encourage attendees to expand their knowledge in related 
topical areas. Selected papers will be published in Optical Materials and 
papers related to low dimensional materials and structures will be published 
in Acta Chimica Slovenica. 

Herceg Novi (Montenegro) is located at the entrance of Boka Kotorska 
(considered one of the most beautiful bays in the world) and is easily 
reachable from Tivat Airport (16 km), Dubrovnik Airport (24 km) or Podgorica 
Airport (110 km).
We look forward to welcoming you in Herceg Novi at the end of August 2009.
