Title : Dark Matter Search with DarkSide experiment

Abstract : We will introduce motivation for dark matter search, give a brief
overview of the field and report the recent results of DarkSide
experiment and physics potential for the future multi-ton detector.
DarkSide-50 is a direct dark
matter experiment operating in the underground Laboratori Nazionali del
Gran Sasso (LNGS) searching for
Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs). The dark matter detector
is a Liquid Argon Time Projection Chamber (TPC) with a 46 kg active
mass, recently filled with underground Ar featuring much lower 39Ar
content. DS-50 TPC is operated inside a 30 ton organic liquid
scintillator neutron veto, which is in turn installed at the center of a
1 kton water Cherenkov veto for the residual flux of cosmic rays.
We will report results from the first dark matter search in DarkSide-50
along with
preliminary performance of the underground argon run.
This is the most sensitive dark matter search performed with an argon
target to date particularly interest in the
light of potential for a future multi-ton argon detector.
