Subject: WWCS2017: deadline extended until 25th Nov!
To:
Dear Complex Systems Researcher,
The deadline of the official Call for Participants at the *Winter Workshop
on Complex Systems 2017* (WWCS 2017,http://www.wwcs2017.com/) and of the
travel grants application (*http://www.wwcs2017.com/apply
<http://www.wwcs2017.com/apply>*) has been *extended until the 25th
November*!
The workshop is at its third edition and this year it will be held at
Petnica Science Center (http://psi.petnica.rs/) in Serbia *from the 6th to
the 10th of February 2017*. The WWCS is a one-week workshop where *young
researchers from all over the world* gather together to discuss about the
latest developments of complexity science and engage into novel research
projects. The main goal of the workshop is to *foster scientific
collaborations* on complex systems related challenges. The workshop will
include invited lectures given by:
- *Dirk Brockmann (Professor at Humboldt University of Berlin and the
Robert Koch Institute, Berlin, Germany)*
- *Jesus Gomez-Gardenes (Associate professor at University of Zaragoza,
Spain)*
- *Matteo Marsili (Senior Research Scientist at ICTP, Trieste, Italy)*
- *Marija Mitrovic-Dankulov (Assistant Research Professor at SCL,
Institute of Physics, Belgrade, Serbia)*
During the workshop, the Participants will present their current work and
interests and begin to develop multidisciplinary projects with other
participants through different dynamics. Moreover, participants will have
the opportunity to give tutorials on their field.
Since the *maximum number of participants is limited*. In order to *submit
your application* for the WWCS 2017, please *send us your CV* to
wwcs2017ed at gmail.com and *fill in the application form* that can be
found at: *http://www.wwcs2017.com/apply <http://www.wwcs2017.com/apply>*
*Important news*: a limited number of travel grants will be made available
by the WWCS Steering Committee for participants without funding possibilities.
If you want to apply for a travel grant, send an email to
wwcs.steering at gmail.com with your CV (the same one you sent for the
workshop application) and a short cover letter explaining why you need to
apply for the travel grant. The decision will be made by the WWCS
Steering Committee independently and communicated together with the
acceptance notification of the workshop.
The deadline for the application to the workshop and travel grants is now
the *25**th of November, 2016.*
More details about WWCS 2017 will be given through the website:
