> This is the second circular with information concerning the ICAP 2018 SUMMER SCHOOL which will be held in Barcelona in July 2018, the week preceding the 26th International Conference on Atomic Physics (ICAP 2018) conference. Both events are organized by the Institut of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and the University of Barcelona (UB).

> The lectures of the ICAP 2018 SUMMER SCHOOL will start Monday July 16th 2018 at 9:00 and will end in the late afternoon Friday July 20th 2018.

> The ICAP 2018 SUMMER SCHOOL will be held at Facultat de Física i Facultat de Química of the Universitat de Barcelona (UB).

> SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM 
> The school is organized around seven different topics and we are happy to announce that we have a fantastic list of confirmed lecturers:

> Atomic quantum gases: William Phillips, National Institute of Standards and Technology, United States
> AMO Physics and topology: Jean Dalibard, Laboratoire Kastler Brossel, France
> Cold molecules and quantum chemistry: Tanya Zelevinsky, Columbia University, United States
> Quantum nanophotonics: Jeff Kimble, Caltech, United States
> Quantum sensing and metrology: Jun Ye, JILA University of Colorado, United States
> Quantum computing and quantum simulation: Ignacio Cirac, Max Plank Institute of Quantum Optics, Germany
> Strongly correlated quantum systems: Theoretical approaches: Jordi Boronat, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain
> In addition to the lectures, the students will present their research in two poster sessions and a reduced number of them will be invited to give a short oral presentation in the "contributed talks" sessions.
> 
> APPLICATION 
> Applications to the school are done through the ICAP SUMMER SCHOOL webpage, the deadline for applying is the 15th March 2018. The number of participants is limited to 100 and the selection process will be based on the CV of the applicant and the letter of reference from the supervisor.
> 
> All applicants are asked to provide:
> 1) An abstract of their contribution to the school
> 2) A short CV
> 3) A reference letter from the supervisor
> 
> REGISTRATION 
> Upon acceptance (notified in April 2018), the applicant will be asked to formalize the registration to the school. The registration fee is 300€ (VAT included) and includes accommodation from 16th to 20th July, lunches, coffee breaks, city tour and ICFO Labs Tour.
> 
> VISA APPLICATION 
> If you need an invitation letter to obtain a visa to enter Spain, please choose the appropriate option on the registration website. The invitation letter will be sent to you once you have finalized the payment.
