Structural Bioinformatics and High Performance Computing (BIO-HPC) research
group from UCAM (http://bio-hpc.eu) is looking for PhD and Postdoc
candidate(s), for the following positions:


P1) Postdoc position within REVERT project (https://www.revert-project.eu/)
in personalized medicine with interpretable machine learning:
- EU nationality or current EU working visa
- C1 English level and a good track record or demonstrated experience in
writing manuscripts and reports, and communication skills with other
international teams
- Experience with scikit-learn and/or TensorFlow, Linux, Python.
- Desirable background in Interpretable Machine Learning and omics fields
- One year position, potentially extendable to two years
- Salary will depend on experience

P2) Postdoc position in an industrial project with a pharma company:
- EU nationality or current EU working visa
- Profile on Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy and
interest/motivation on the use of structural bioinformatics methods in
Virtual Screening
- C1 English level and a good track record or demonstrated experience in
writing manuscripts and reports, and communication skills with other
international teams
- Experience with computational drug discovery software and SBVS/LBVS
- One year position, potentially extendable.
- Salary will depend on experience

P3) PhD position in an industrial project with a pharma company:
- EU nationality or current EU working visa
- Profile on Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy and
interest/motivation on the use of structural bioinformatics methods in
Virtual Screening
- B2 English level
- Three years position, potentially extendable to four years.
- Salary will depend on experience

P4) PhD position in computationa drug discovery
- Grades at least 4 over 5
- Applicant must live or have lived in the Region of Murcia in the last two
years
- EU nationality or current EU working visa
- Profile on Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy and
interest/motivation on the use of structural bioinformatics methods in
Virtual Screening
- Good English level
- Three years position, potentially extendable to four years.

P5) One year position in an academic project with our collaborators from
the University of Granada (Prof. Irene Luque) in a project regarding
application of Molecular Dynamics for the study of drug-fascin
interacations in colorectal cancer
- EU nationality or current EU working visa
- Profile on Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy and
interest/motivation on the use of structural bioinformatics methods in
Virtual Screening
- Good English level



BIO-HPC is a multidisciplinary research group with a relevant international
projection. In the last 5 years it has published over 100 scientific
papers, some of them on the first JCR decile, and in the areas of biology,
chemistry, computer science, multidisciplinary sciences, etc, and has lead
more than 20 research projects and contracts with companies. Thanks to the
developments it has been possible to discovery more than 25 bioactive
compounds, some of them patented and licensed to companies.
