FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear colleagues,
The Organizing Committee is pleased to inform you that the 
"International Conference on Recent Trends in Geoscience Research and 
Applications 2023" will be held at the Institute of Physics Belgrade in 
Belgrade, Serbia, and virtually on 23-27 October 2023.

AIMS AND SCOPE
Geoscience research and applications are of crucial interest in science 
and many areas of modern life. For this reason, exchanging knowledge in 
various relevant areas is essential for development in scientific, 
engineering, and programming activities. The conference aims to 
highlight the importance of joint research of experts in these fields 
and provide a platform for knowledge exchange.

The topics of this conference are:
Atmospheric research
Space weather
Lithospheric research
Hydrological research
Environmental research
Natural hazards
Geoinformation technologies

We invite experts from all relevant fields to participate in this 
conference!

REGISTRATION AND CONFERENCE FEES
The registration of participants is open and will be possible until 1 
June 2023. In order to register, please fill in the form on the 
conference website. The registration fees (before and after 1 September 
2023) are: Regular 200 EUR and 250 EUR, Students (150 EUR and 200 EUR), 
Accompanying Persons 100 EUR and 150EUR, Virtual participation 50 EUR 
and 80 EUR.

The registration fee shown in the table includes the costs of preparing 
the conference, preparing the Book of Abstracts and Contributed Papers, 
conference kit, welcome cocktail, coffee breaks, excursion, and 
conference dinner for in-situ participants, and welcome cocktail, 
excursion and conference dinner for accompanying persons.

Payment for the registration fees will be possible until 15 September 
2023. Payment for discounted and reduced registration fee will be 
possible until 1 July 2023. Instructions for payments are given on the 
conference website.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT
The form for financial support is given on the conference website. The 
completed form should be sent to BOTH addresses: sandrast at ipb.ac.rs and 
sdragovic at vin.bg.ac.rs until 10 May 2023.

PUBLICATIONS
Submission of abstracts is mandatory while submissions of contributed 
papers and journal articles are optional.
Abstracts (one page) and contributed papers (six pages) of contributions 
should be sent to BOTH addresses: sandrast at ipb.ac.rs and 
sdragovic at vin.bg.ac.rs until 1 June 2023 (abstracts) and 15 September 
2023 (contributed papers). The templates for preparing abstracts and 
contributed papers are available on the conference website. The works 
will be published in the Book of Abstracts and Contributed Papers before 
the conference.


Journals
The works that will be presented at the International Conference on 
Recent Trends in Geoscience Research and Applications 2023 will be 
selected for three journals:
Land (more information will be available soon)
Journal of the Geographical Institute "Jovan Cvijic" SASA (free of 
charge)
Serbian Journal of Geosciences (free of charge)

In all three journals, the submitted manuscripts will be processed with 
the standards of regular research papers. Therefore, the titles and 
abstracts should differ substantially from those published in the Book 
of Abstracts and Contributed Papers.

LOCAL INFORMATION
The conference will be held at the Institute of Physics Belgrade in 
Belgrade. The detailed information about the venue, accommodation, and 
transportation is available on the conference website.
