We cordially invite you to the seminar "R&D and Production potential of
 FLNP JINR for Collaborative research with the Institute of Physics
 Belgrade" that will be held on September 16, 2026, at 12:00 h
(Wednesday) in the library "Dr Dragan Popović"

Lecturer: Dr. Maria Petrova, Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics, Joint
 Institute of Nuclear Research, Dubna

_Abstract of the presentation:_ The purpose of the seminar is scientific
cooperation in the fields of detector system development,
radiation-induced changes of biological objects and materials, and
condensed matter research using neutron scattering methods. The base
facility of the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics at JINR is the IBR-2
high-flux pulsed research reactor, which accommodates 14 instruments for
conducting various experiments on neutron beams. Equipping such a large
number of experimental stations, combined with extensive research
experience in neutron experiments, has enabled the laboratory to
accumulate unique expertise and develop advanced equipment for solving a
wide range of experimental tasks. The presentation will highlight the
available capabilities and infrastructure for conducting collaborative
research.

_Short CV:_ Maria Petrova holds a PhD in Instruments and Methods of
Experimental Physics. Her expertise is in measuring various types of
radiation. For a few years, she worked at the IBR-2 irradiation
facility, measuring neutrons of different energies using NAA, as well as
gamma-ray measurements via radiochromic dosimetry. Currently, she works
at the REFLEX reflectometer, studying thin films and developing
position-sensitive detectors for neutron facilities based on 10B-RPC.
