Spectral form factors for curved spacetimes with horizon

In this talk, we present 2412.19672 “Spectral form factors for curved 
spacetimes with horizon”. In a recent series of papers (e.g. 2208.14744, 
2301.11780 and 2312.14109), it was noted that the spectral form factor 
defined for normal modes on the BTZ black hole background with a 
stretched horizon exhibits the dip-ramp-plateau structure in the 
massless scalar case. Normal modes are understood as the scalar field 
modes on the curved background with a Dirichlet boundary condition 
imposed at the horizon instead of the usual infalling boundary condition 
for quasi-normal modes. In this paper, we have extended the analysis by 
considering massive scalar on the BTZ background, the de Sitter case as 
well as the generalized (complex-valued) two- and three-level form 
factor.
