Sašo Grozdanov (University of Ljubljana and University of Edinburgh) 
will give an online talk within the Balkan String Webinar series.

Title: The analytic structure of holographic thermal correlation 
functions in position and momentum space

Abstract: In my talk, I will begin by reviewing the analytic structure 
of thermal correlation functions in momentum space in holographic setups 
with black holes. A particular focus will be the discussion of various 
constraints on such spectra, in particular the spectral duality 
relation. I will then describe our recent results on understanding the 
analytic structure in position space, where the singularities of 
retarded correlators can be understood in the language of the Hadamard 
theory of differential equations and the behavior of null geodesics. Of 
particular interest will be the relation between a type of null 
geodesic, called the bouncing geodesic, and the existence of black hole 
singularities.
