Dear friends,
On April 1 (Wednesday) at 12:00 CEST we will have a seminar by Vasil
Dimitrov, in the theory seminar room (Institute of Physics Belgrade, 2nd
floor). Vasil will be around for three days (Wed-Fri), so if you want to
have a chat drop me an email and I'll get you in touch. Title and
abstract follow.
Patch-wise equivariant localization in 5d gauged supergravity
Vasil Dimitrov (Institute for Nuclear Research, Bulgarian Academy of
Sciences, Sofia)
I will discuss a novel approach for obtaining the Euclidean on-shell
action of a large class of known (and still to be found) solutions of 5d
gauged supergravity. The geometries in question include multi-center
solutions: black holes, black rings, black lenses, topological
solitons... In the ungauged limit the results match known on-shell
actions of explicit flat space multi-center geometries. I will discuss
the localization procedure including the subtleties concerning
holographic renormalization and dealing with the non-trivial topology of
the gauge fields due to Chern-Simons terms in 5d.
